THE COURSE
Starting at the entrance to the Eastnor Deer park at 8am Sunday morning, this new feature of the Mountain Mayhem Experience draws on the expertise of Mayhem course designer Paul Davis, to deliver a cracking 100 km course, that takes in the fabulous Malvern's scenery and will appeal to mountain bikers and road cyclists alike.
Threading it’s way through quiet lanes, it climbs over Holly Bush Bank and delivers stunning views over the Worcestershire country side. Then the route turns left towards Welland and on to the Three Counties Showground, where it turns left up on to the Malvern Hills. When you get to British Camp the route turns right along Jubilee Drive towards Colwall , then on to Bosbury Village, Ashperton, Tarrington, Dormington. At this point the route starts to take in some classic climbs through the village of Checkley up to Putley Cock Shoot then quick and well deserved downhill to Fownhope. At Fownhope the route takes in another local classic climb ‘Capler' followed by a trip round Fawley Court and a cruise along by the River Wye called the Hole in the Wall famous for it’s salmon fishing. The route then continues onwards towards Upton Bishop, where it passes the famous Moody Cow pub through Kempley and on to Dymock.
Finally ending up in Ledbury, where a quick ride through the Town Centre sees the route safely back to the start point at Eastnor Deer Park.
